The entire story line of the episode of 18 January 2009 was particularly excellent - at times so humorous, yet with a serious and thought provoking side as well. I cannot recall a series that has been so consistently good, with excellent acting that makes for sheer enjoyment! Not many programmes that I sit down to watch with my spouse of many years, but we certainly agree that the BBC has scored highly on this one! Was captivated by Miss Margaret and her brother (he with the richest voice!) and the difficult relationship between the two - it was very well played out by both, not to mention the hilarious performance of Miss Margaret's suitor, Thomas! Full marks to the BBC and let's have a lot more of such delightful drama! Lark Rise to Candleford is a simply enthralling series!
