I fell in love with this show about a year ago.Love the acting,stories,costumes and the characters. The area where it is filmed is so beautiful. I think, sometimes how much was going in here in the US at this time and people where actually living this way at the same time elsewhere. Watch repeats of every episode. Can’t get enough! Thank you for your work.

My daughters aged 10 and 14 and I have just been introduced to the Larkrise series and are absolutely hooked. We live out in a country area in New Zealand and don’t get TV so we have the first two series on DVD and are watching them constantly. We all love the character of Dorcas and just wish she could find the right man. Her costumes are also stunning. We can’t wait to get the third series on DVD out here in NZ.

The reason I like the series so much is that it reminds me in many ways of the small town I grew up in; lots of folks who became extended family to me. What draws me to it is the genuine kindness and compassion of the characters for one another. Most don’t just stomp over one another’s feelings… it’s very positive, I think.

I would like you to know that you have fans in the Netherlands who adore this series.
We know Julia Sawalha from Absolutely Fabulous, and it is so amazing to see her in a complete other character in which see acts so wonderful.
As we cannot see the series on de Dutch television,
we are looking forward to the new DVD of series 3.
