They made such an effort in the last series to get Alfie and Nan together, they looked like true love forever and now she is no more. WHY? Otherwise it's as good as ever, although I hope Dorcas is given some more substantial storylines. Julia Sawalha is sooooo talented. Last week was so boring. This one made up for it though. Good to see the children doing more. Liked the Arless storyline. John (Alf) you are such a good actor. The writer of this episode is great. Hope to see some more of her work. I really do enjoy Lark Rise. The preview for next week looked worrying. After seeing young Archie Arless with his brother happy this week and yet next week in the clip they showed Archie in bed ill and struggling through the field with his sister Sally.
