I am not sure whether I like Robert or not. He never seems happy, is always grumbling, and he is an extremely principled man, though that is not bad bad thing. I suppose he means well in everything, and is full of sound wisdom, though his pride does get on my nerves, I sometimes wonder how Emma puts up with him!

Yes… that pride of his – I think it’s the only thing about him that everybody must surely know, as it arises is almost every episode!!!
That, and his stubborness!
