Minnie is so sweet. She is so hapless and clumsy, only Dorcas, with her good heart and patience would keep her on as a maid!

Bless her indeed – her misfortune is so amusing though isn’t it?!
Does anyone else think that Dorcas may even be taking more of a shine to her than to Laura?
Don’t get me wrong, I love that Dorcas is like a 2nd mother to Laura, but Dorcas and Minnie play so well together, both as characters and as actresses (if that makes sense!).

I really love Minnie as well! Some people said that they find her irritating but I am just cracking up everytime I see her. I had so much fun watching the 2nd series because of her. But I find Minnie’s character more than just a funny sidekick in the show. I loved her story, her tragic backround with her runaway sisters und abusive stepfather. She really has some great scenes with Dorcas. You can feel somehow that the actresses must have had alot of fun doing their scenes together.
Don’t you just love it when Dorcas stares at her with eyes wide open and telling Minnie to get out of her sight?

I do think Dorcas and Minnie are very close.

I also love when Dorcas stares at her and tells her to get out of her sight, poor minnie.

Another Minnie fan here – what a cracking little actress. I love the way in this weeks episode she teased Dorcas about the cake Dorcas had made, suggesting she was practising making a wedding cake. Dorcas didn’t scold her and they ended up sharing a giggle – that showed the warmth in their relationship.

Bless Minnie she is such a little romantic, you can tell she is routing for JD and Dorcas to get together.

Yes that why I love Minnie so much. She has had a very hard life but still hasn’t lost her dreaminess and good-naturedness .She is not filled with any kind of bitterness or jealousy. Even though she is naive and might not alwas get the ‘big picture’, she sees the essential things. Its so much fun to watch her getting all excited about other peoples happiness.

Aww good old Minnie.
It was so funny when she thought she was pregnant. And last week, when she said that Miss Lane wanted to borrow a cigar box for her cigars!
Sometimes they add new characters in programs and then they never really work and fit in, but it feels like Minnie’s character has always been there. Zillah was funny in series 1 as well – Dorcas has good taste in maids!

Minnie is a fantastic character and I hope they keep her in the show. I love it when Ruby Pratt is reading her the story from the newspaper. Both actresses do these scenes so well. And when she was trying to say extraordinary. Just brilliant! I also loved it when she was trying to get Dorcas and James closer. Great character!!

Minnie is fabulous. Ruby Bentall is a brilliant comedy actress, which is not surprising when you consider who her mother is.
